Materia is built upon the dialogue between light and structure — an object designed not only to illuminate but to interact with the space around it. Its rigorous and geometric form is inspired by Brutalism, an architectural movement that celebrates raw materials and the sculptural interplay of volumes.
The design is built on a sequence of solids and voids: vertical slats filter the light, creating a choreography of shadows and reflections that are cast onto the walls, setting a mood that is both intimate and architectural. The lower part introduces a sharper, —almost cutting— angular detail which disrupts the structure’s balance and creates a visual tension in contrast with the rhythmic order of the upper slats.
Materia is both essential and expressive: a piece for those who appreciate the balance between technology, digital craftsmanship, and formal exploration.
